NRW and Saxony moved in lockstep to the finish line at the German State Championships from October 1st to October 5th, 2023 in the Hanover Youth Hostel. Both NRW and Saxony have won all of their matches since we last reported. In the end, NRW had the significantly better final score and was therefore able to prevail.
The hosts from Lower Saxony came in third place. The award ceremony was carried out by the President of the Lower Saxony Chess Association, Michael Langer, among others.
