Fight the Grünfeld Defense with g3

The Grünfeld Defense was invented in the early 1920s by the famous Austrian grandmaster Ernst Grünfeld. One of the first responses to it was made by the great Akiba Rubinstein - the g3 system with fianchetto of the bishop on g2. Subsequently, many other setups were tried to refute Grünfeld, but nothing really worked. Therefore, Rubinstein's recipe remains an important positional method of countering this dynamic opening.
