With Viernheim, a team has laid claim to the championship that is not called Baden-Baden. With further reinforcements, including the US-American super GM and chess streamer Hikaru Nakamura, they are now on a par with the serial champions from Baden-Württemberg. The Chess Bundesliga is certainly looking forward to an exciting battle for the title, which could also increase media attention.
