VARIASCHACH is the innovative chess development

VARIASCHACH is based on the traditional rules of chess. As usual, your goal is to checkmate the opponent's king. There are 16 white and 16 black dice available for this.

15 dice each have the symbols for pawn, knight, bishop, rook and queen on one side, as well as a red dot. The highlight: the dice are rotated with each move. Either regularly or randomly. This guarantees unpredictable game dynamics, as their value changes nonstop. The only constant is the king's dice, which has the rulership symbol on all six sides and is only drawn.

You can play VARIASCHACH in four ways. What they have in common is that they combine strategy with fun, cleverness and luck. And thus take the “game of kings” into adventurous dimensions. Are you ready?

At ORDO The dice are turned move by move to the next higher piece. From pawn to knight to bishop to rook to queen. Then the sequence begins again. 

ORDO VULNERIS The red dot adds an additional symbol to the ensemble; it represents an injury and means “abandonment”.

At OCCASION Chance sends the pieces across the board – they are rolled anew with each move. 

OCCADO is an organic mixture of sequence and chance.
