Checkmate. That is the goal of the game. There are many ways to checkmate the opponent's king, but certain patterns appear over and over again. You should master these patterns like the back of your hand if you want to crown your games with a successful checkmate attack.

From tasks for beginners to brain teasers
This DVD contains 100 tasks, arranged in ten groups of ten tasks each, according to level of difficulty. Level 1 is the easiest, but after that the tasks become increasingly difficult up to level 10. There is everything from tasks for beginners to real brain teasers. Of course you can start at any level, but always try to solve all ten tasks at that level before you move on to the next level.
Instant feedback
For each task, you have to enter the solution on the board. Daniel King will then tell you whether your move is correct or not. However, it might be helpful to also set up the position on a board instead of just solving the tasks on the screen - analyzing on a real board with pieces is much closer to a real game.
Typical motifs
The mating patterns you will see here are typical patterns (most of them are from actual games played). These patterns are basic and important, but they are also examples of wonderful ideas. So have fun, concentrate and enjoy the journey of discovery through the world of mating combinations!
