Frederic’s Chess Tales

In 1986, Frederic Friedel founded ChessBase together with Matthias Wüllenweber and since 1997 he has been publishing chess news on the ChessBase News page. Frederic Friedel has met countless personalities from chess life, experienced over 30 years of chess history and described them masterfully. He has now edited and compiled the most interesting stories and reports in "Frederic's Chess Tales", from "The beautiful Behting" or "Chess puzzles - easy and fun" to "The Great King Walk". Older readers may recognize where some of the stories come from, which articles they were inspired by. But in most cases the original stories were published before many of our readers were even born. Others may look at them nostalgically as part of a collection.
