Mark Dvoretsky was born in Moscow in 1947. He is an International Master, Honored Trainer of the USSR, Russia and Georgia, and FIDE Senior Trainer. He is rightly considered one of the best trainers in the world. Several of his students became strong grandmasters: among others S. Dolmatov, A. Yusupov, A. Dreev, V. Zvjagintsev, E. Inarkiev. Mark Dvoretsky is also an extremely successful author. In 2010 he received the Boleslavsky Medal from FIDE for his books "The Endgame University" and "Endgame Tragicomedies".
This new book is not just his memoirs. This unusual autobiography shows chess life in Russia from the trainer's perspective. The author's encounters with the titans of chess, such as Botvinnik and Tal, are particularly interesting.

Not only chess trainers, but anyone who wants to improve their chess skills will find many valuable tips here. But even less ambitious chess fans can enjoy entertaining stories and amusing anecdotes from the life of the famous trainer.
