In modern chess, you have to be ready to adapt to almost any opening variation at short notice. The idea is to keep disrupting your opponent's preparation. Knowing dynamic and less common variations well can bring many, many points to inventive players. The Kveiny's Variation (1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 e6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Qb6!) is surprisingly rarely played, but offers Black excellent chances.
